Japanese Tea Gardens, Balboa Park
The Japanese Tea House and Garden was built northeast of the Botanical Building by the Japanese Tea Associatiion and the Japanese and Formosan governments for the Panama-California Exposition in 1915. The Exposition was held in San Diego's Balboa Park to celebrate the completion of the Panama Canal. The Teahouse was razed in 1955
