California Building, Balboa Park, San Diego, California
"C.T. Art-Colortone"
The California Building in Balboa Park is shown with the California Tower, designed by Bertram Goodhue (1869-1924). These buildings were also known as the California State Building during the Panama-California Exposition of 1915 for which the complex was built. This view shows the back of these buildings on the California Quadrangle, which stands at the western entrance to Balboa Park. The California Building (with the dome) later became the San Diego Museum of Man.
