Opened in 1982, the reconstructed Old Globe Theatre is located at the Simon Edison Centre for the Performing Arts in San Diego's Balboa Park. The original Old Globe Theatre, built as an open-air theater for the California-Pacific International Exposition of 1935, burned in 1978 and was replaced by this re-imagined structure.
