[Curt Teich and Company, Incorporated, Chicago, Illinois]
The California State Building during the California Pacific International Exposition of 1935 held in San Diego's Balboa Park. The four large murals on the front of the building illustrated California history and were designed by Orville Goldner (1906-1985). This building later became the Automotive Museum. In the middle of the Plaza de America (here in the right foreground) were the Firestone Singing Fountains. The Teich number in the right lower white border is 5A-H1155, from which the date was derived.
