Established on February 8, 1906 by the Woman's Club of Hollywood, this building was on the corner of Prospect (now Hollywood) Boulevard and Ivar in 1907. The land was donated for the purpose, and the $15,000 in construction mostly funded by Andrew Carnegie for this one-story, English bungalow-style building. It was demolished in 1958.
