Lover's Cove was the name given to the waters off Pebble, or Pebbly, Beach, a around the point from Avalon, with Avalon Bay. The incline railway on the ocean side of the inn visible here at the top of the mountain was called Angel's Flight or mountain railway. On the other side the incline railway went down to the Avalon Amphitheatre. The publisher's number in the left lower corner is 4410. Judging from the white space on the bottom of this card (for messages) and the fact that the left side of the divided back only allows a return address, this card was published not long after postal regulations changed to allow writing other than the address on the back (March 1, 1907).
