Real Photo Post Card of the Wrigley Mausoleum on Santa Catalina Island, California
Frasher, Burton Sr.
Photographic paper: Dops
The Mausoleum was later known as the Wrigley Memorial and Botanical Gardens, because the Wrigleys were not buried there. The publisher's number is F632, written in two places in ink on the card but not printed on it. Frasher's numbers were in that form. This card was created by a process in which any photographer could take a "snapshot," deliver the negative to a photo developer and have it printed on a postcard backing. The special papers used for this process are indexed by brand and date, and the Dops papers used for this photograph were issued from 1925-1942, according to the letters bordering the stampbox on the back.
