The homes of Hollywood movie stars have traditionally been the subjects of postcards. In this case the actor was Lionel Barrymore (1878-1954), known mainly for his role of Doctor Gillespie in the "Doctor Kildare" series of movies, but also as actor and director of stage, screen, and radio starting as a performer with producer D. W. Griffith. This picture postcard has a white border, popular from about 1913-1932. The publisher's number on the back of this card is 17044-N.
