This postcard boasts that the property for sale by "Percy H. Clark Co., Agents, 311 H.W. Hellman Building, Los Angeles" is "on the main line of the Los Angeles Pacific" railway, "midway [between] Los Angeles and Santa Monica." According to Clark, the site features "large lots high class improvements and restrictions." This card was most likely manufactured in the first or second decade of the 20th century, and in those days the word "restrictions" usually meant the exclusion of Jews and persons "of color" before laws were passed against discrimination. The scene depicts a pond but not a residence.
