D. Murphy
Real Photo Post Cards (RPPC) like this one were made by private or professional photographers using a Kodak process that allowed printing directly onto postcard backs. Anyone could take a "snap shot," deliver it to a photo finishing shop and have copies made to send as postcards. This appears to be a private residence in San Diego, signed by "D. Murphy," with no other identifying marks. The back of the postcard bears no message or address but does have a stamp box that indicates that the photographic paper was made by one of the makers of that 20 percent of the postcard-paper market not held by Kodak, Cyko by Ansco. This particular paper was only made from 1903-1905.
