[Curt Teich and Company, Incorporated, Chicago, Illinois]
The Palace of Science was the name for the original California State Buildings during the California Pacific International Exposition of 1935, held in San Diego's Balboa Park. On the left is the California Tower, and on the right the California Building designed by Bertram Goodhue (1869-1924), later housing the San Diego Museum, renamed to San Diego Museum of Man. These buildings were constructed for the Panama-California International Exposition of 1915. The publisher's number 4404 is in the upper left white border. The Teich number in the lower right border is 3A-H1422, from which the date was derived. This is a linen card produced as part of a series for the California Pacific International Exposition of 1935.
