Hardy Tower was one of the original buildings in the campus core of San Diego State College, still a state teacher's college when these buildings were constructed on Montezuma Mesa. The artist of this line drawing offers the following description on the back of his postcard: "This impressive library building was built in 1931 and houses over 165,000 books."
