Dear Sir: -- I have been trying for a week, to get time to see you at an hour at which you would be in the office. It seems impossible to find the time. I am very anxious to have a full conference with you, and as your paper is printed and out of the way in the afternoon, can't you with Mrs. Bacon come over and take dinner with me at the Hotel del Coronado, so we can show you how we live over here, and, at the same time, give me an opportunity to discuss the water question? If you can oblige me this much kindly advise the date which would be convenient to you.
