The image embroidered onto the fabric cover of this hand-drawn book is of Sobek (Sebek), the Egyptian crocodile god, holding a bleeding human heart; the back has embroidered squares of different designs, like a quilt. There is a table of contents and a collage of blank gold-colored seals before the first numbered page of drawings and text, with sketches on many alternate pages.
