This issue will be the last until the fall semester begins. Featured on front page is the "top scholar" award. It was given to Miriam Greta Menchaca, who spent the war years on a Japanese-occupied island in the Philippines. She and her family escaped interment by "taking to the hills" when they received news that the Japanese were nearby. The issue also features news of several campus events, such as a lecture series, music workshop, and a personnel workshop.
