Details of the annual Founder's Day celebration are published on the front page. Harriet B. Stovall, reference librarian at the college, announces that eighteen San Diego State faculty will be included in the 1950-1951 edition of "Who's Who in America: A Biographical Dictionary or Notable Living Men and Women." A full transcript of a letter written by Frances Shimp Tidwell is included in the "Class News section of the newsletter. On her voyage to join her husband, Major Ed Tidwell, in Japan, she and the other passengers endured many trials.
