In honor of the 50th anniversary of San Diego State College, the Alumni Association printed a special edition of its newsletter for May 1947. The front cover features an aerial image of the Montezuma Mesa and much of the newsletter's interior content is dedicated to the program for the week of celebration. The "Golden Jubilee" is described as "the greatest celebration in San Diego State College's history."
