Braisted, Frank
The author has been transferred to a training detachment, and he asks that his address change be forwarded to the Aztec student newspaper. Known as the "Clarksdale Country Club" due to the expense of keeping a soldier there, $66 a month ($1,000 in 2015 dollars), Braisted calls it the "best Primary Flight School in the South East Training Center." He was killed in a bombing raid on Cologne, Germany, October 28, 1944.
