Matilija Hot Springs was a spa in the Los Padres National Forest near California State Route 33, discovered and developed in the late 19th century. Matilija Creek, the location of several hot springs, cuts through Matilija Canyon. The publisher's number 13172 is in the lower left corner in the white border. On the divided back the trademark "Phostint" is prominent on the left.
