On the left is the Pacific Beet Sugar Factory. Its main investors, the Oxnard brothers, lent their family name to the city, establishing the factory in 1897. By 1899 the name had changed to the American Beet Sugar Factory, and in 1934 there was another name change to the American Crystal Sugar Company. On the right is the Oxnard Plaza without the pagoda, built in 1910. The publisher's number 4947 is along the dividing line on the back along with the phrase "Made in Germany" and a message not to write anything in the small left panel except for a return address. The number upside down in the stampbox is 61114.
