This was a roller-coaster ride that opened on July 4, 1911 on the Venice Lagoon, replacing the Midway Plaisance. It was wooden, 90 feet high, designed by John Miller and built by Frederick Church and Harry Traver, and was the first roller coaster built on the West Coast.
