Mitchell, Edward H.
The College of Liberal Arts Building (1884) also known as "Old College" is depicted along with two newer wings on either side (1905). This original building was south of West Jefferson Boulevard and west of South Figueroa Street. By 1920 the first two stories of the tower's right side were covered with ivy. The site was later occupied by the Taper Hall of Humanities. The publisher's number 678 is in the lower right corner of this sepia-tone card. On the back, the rose and dagger dividing line typical of Edward Mitchell has the publisher's name inside. The company was bought by Mitchell in 1911.
