[Curt Teich and Company, Incorporated, Chicago, Illinois]
Between an island and the viewer, two ships are plying the waters of San Pedro Bay as it becomes the Los Angeles Harbor. One ship is disappearing out of frame on the left; the other is a small sailboat. Deadman's Island was one of two islands in Los Angeles Harbor, demolished in the two years starting in 1928. The date is from the Teich number at the bottom of the dividing line on the back, R-18284. Prominent on the back is a seal of the Panama-California Exposition held in San Diego in 1915. Preparations, including postcard publication, for that exposition began in 1910. The publisher's number 3227 is also on the back, along with their logo.
