Miller, Mac ("Color")
Distribution: Mitock and Sons, North Hollywood, California
This is a "Plastichrome" creation showing an "Exciting aerial view of one of the world's newest and greatest amusement parks as viewed from high above the sparkling blue Pacific Ocean," as the promotional message on the back claims. With the pier at the center, the viewer looks east toward Santa Monica on the left and Venice on the right, with the Santa Monica airport at the top. Often abbreviated and pronounced POP (p-oh-p), this amusement park was between Pier Avenue in the Ocean Park neighborhood and Navy Street in Venice. On the border of Santa Monica and Venice, it was opened in 1958 and closed in 1967, with final demolition in 1974-1975. The publisher's number P35032 appears on the divided back in the stampbox.
