[Curt Teich and Company, Incorporated, Chicago, Illinois]
The Villa de Leone stands out as a white building with pillars and red tile roof in the Beaux-Arts style. Designed by Kenneth MacDonald for wool magnate Leon Kauffman and built in 1926, this palazzo is just south of the Getty Villa. In the distance is the shoreline running east and west to Point Dume jutting into the Pacific Ocean. The Roosevelt Highway became the Pacific Coast Highway, Highway (State Route) 1. Teich's number in the lower right corner is 1A-H482, from which the date was derived. The publisher's number SM-41 precedes the title in the top white border. The right side of the postcard is damaged.
