A faux broken Roman statue stands on a pillar in the midst of blooming roses of different colors along a stone wall. The Italianate villa built for E. C. Sterling by D. H. Donald in 1897 was designated a "heritage home" in 1981. Sterling was the owner of all the 19th-century patents for the manufacture of pressed bricks in the United States. The publisher's number 4190 is along the dividing line on the back of this card, along with the phrase "Made in Germany."
