The description under the title on the back reports: "The recreational and shopping center for one of the most beautiful and picturesque resort areas in the nation. The Switzerland of southern California where summertime lasts most of the year and winter brings added thrills." The Norman-style village buildings shown here were complete by 1923, constructed by the buyers and continuing owners of Lake Arrowhead and the surrounding area (around 4,800 acres), The Arrowhead Lake Company. The original color photograph is attributed to David M. Mills. The publisher's number on the back is S-44852L3 at the bottom of the dividing line, and the copyright holder's number is FS-839.
