Frasher, Burton, Senior
Photographic paper: EKC
A weathered rock with what looks like one eye and a large mouth is here named "The Boogie-Man." Another rock formation, near Twenty Nine Palms, was given the same name by Frasher, index number F-2501. This card is number F-6937, indicating that it was probably made the same year as F-6935 and F-6936 showing the same area, 1947.

The Boogie-man, long known to visitors of the monument, is at the edge of the main road, peeking over a rock as you pass by. Outcroppings of rock are scattered throughout the monument, eroded into different sizes and shapes, from an elephant to a scull[sic]. All are un-marked so the visitor may have the fun of picking their own imaginary shapes
