[Curt Teich and Company, Incorporated, Chicago, Illinois]
Theo. Sohmer, Los Angeles, California
"Mount Baldy" is a nickname for Mount San Antonio, seen here as a snow-covered mountain centered in the distance. Foothills are in the middle ground, and California poppies in profusion in the foreground. Mount San Antonio is in the San Gabriel Mountains north of Rancho Cucamonga, so these would be northern foothills in the eastern Los Angeles metropolitan area. The publisher's number 518 is on the back along with the Teich number at the top of the dividing line--A-61399, from which the date was derived.
