A bougainvillea (here misspelled) has reached the fourth story of part of the hotel and is spreading. On the lowest floor is a porch, and on the fourth story a balcony, with a walkway visible through an arch in a false front. Named after its owner Milo Potter, the hotel opened in 1903 and was destroyed by fire in 1921 under different ownership as the Ambassador Hotel. The entrance was on the site of Ambassador Park. The publisher's number on the divided back is M 5, just before the railroad promotion motto "On the Road of a thousand wonders," and their logo is in the upper left corner.
