The hotel driveway leads past flowers and trees to a 6-1/2-story building with several wings and turrets, a smokestack, affording 390 guest rooms. Named after its owner Milo Potter, the hotel opened in 1903 and was destroyed by fire in 1921 under different ownership as the Ambassador Hotel. The entrance was on the site of Ambassador Park. The phrase "Made in Germany" appears on the divided back.
