Two automobiles are negotiating a curve of a highway along the Pacific Ocean. A cliff is on the right, and there is a railroad bed between the cliff and the highway, with a flowered verge separating them. There is such a place immediately east of El Capitan State Beach west of Goleta along State Highway 1/United States Highway 101, but in 2014 the divided highway is above the railroad, with an old road still close to the ocean.
