People are looking out at the Pacific Ocean from a railing on the south side of the plaza. Behind them in the foreground benches surround a plot of grass with palm trees. Stearns Wharf is on the left with a sailing ship docked at the end, and there are mountains beyond. Plaza del Mar was in front of the bathhouse, Baños del Mar, until Cabrillo Boulevard was cut through the hill on which the plaza stood in the early 1940s. The publisher's number 3713 is on the divided back along with the message "Made in Germany." The number 43686 is upside down in the stampbox.
