De La Guerra Studios, Santa Barbara, California
The Albertype Company, Brooklyn, New York
The De la Guerra home was expanded to become the De la Guerra movie studios. In 1924, according to the Santa Barbara Trust for Historic Preservation, "the Plans and Planting Committee of the Community Arts Association created the De la Guerra Studios to demonstrate the possibilities of creating distinctive Spanish Colonial architecture for Santa Barbara. The studios were part of the El Paseo complex, also known as the Streets of Spain." This postcard was "handcolored," according to a claim on the divided back of this linen card.
