Pictured here is the Cloister wing, originally called the Monastery, which was built between 1909-1911. A short description on the back states that many architectural elements of this wing are copied from other missions in California--the "massive buttresses," for example, from the San Gabriel Mission.

Perforations on the top edge of this sepia-tinted, embossed card indicate that it was torn from a booklet. The publisher's logo is printed on the divided back of this German-made postcard.
