The Norconian- Corona, California-- Now "U.S. Naval Hospital"
Photographic paper: EKC
The Norconian was a resort opened in 1929 that survived the Great Depression only to close in 1940. In 1941 the United States Navy purchased it, and the day after Pearl Harbor the resort was commissioned as the United States Naval Hospital in Norco, a name coined by the resort owner. The location is incorrectly identified as Corona. No longer used as a hospital, the resort eventually became the Naval Surface Warfare Center. EKC photographic papers were manufactured from 1930-1950.
