On this Real Photo Post Card is the hospital that was formerly the Norconian Resort (1929) in Norco, a city named by the resort owner for "North Corona." Closed in 1940, it was bought by the Navy in 1941 and commissioned the day after Pearl Harbor. The hospital was used until 1949, closed, reopened in 1951 to accommodate soldiers wounded in the Korean War. The site eventually became the Naval Surface Warfare Center. The location was incorrectly identified as Corona. Under the title is the publisher's number: 0836. EKC photographic papers were manufactured from 1930-1950.
