Inset into the left top corner of the photographic representation of the exterior of the motel with its sign is a picture of the swimming pool and courtyard. The publisher's number 2343B is on the divided back of the card along with an American Automobile Association logo (AAA) and a short paragraph asserting that the motel is "Merced's newest and one of the finest Motor Hotels in the West," with 50 units, each with air conditioning, heat, and telephones. The motel was located on U. S. Route 99 South, limiting the latest date this card could have been produced to 1964, when US 99 was decommissioned in favor of Interstate 5, with Highway 99 continuing as a State Route in this area. Dexter Press started operations in 1920.
