The architect of this combination of neoclassical and Mission Revival styles was James Taylor. Built in 1912, and shown here from across the street, with two motor vehicles and a bicycle parked in front, it served as the post office until World War II, when it was the headquarters for the 4th Air Force, then became the police station in 1946, and (since 1966) the municipal Museum. The Teich number on the divided back is A-58579, from which the date was derived.
