The Redondo Beach Plunge was housed in a four-story Moorish-style building constructed by Henry Huntington in 1909. Here bathers in two of three pools heated by Pacific Light and Power's steam plant crowd a small pool and spread out in a larger one. A large United States flag is displayed above the center of the bigger pool. The publisher's number precedes the title at the right corner: R. B. 3. The date is encoded in the Teich number at the top of the dividing line on the back, A-91679.
