The front of the hotel is surrounded by flowers and trees, with a tower over the portico and turrets on either side. A circular drive goes to the portico. The hotel opened in 1890, was purchased by the city in 1922 and used for offices, and then dismantled in 1925. The divided back shows the contributor as "The Rieder."
