Bathing pavillion and street scene, Redondo Beach, California
The "bathing pavilion" pictured here was known as "the saltwater plunge" and was part of Henry Huntington's tourist attractions on the Redondo Beach waterfront near Wharf No. 1. These buildings ran south of the wharf and included the plunge in the foreground and the "Moorish" style buildings farther toward the right in this picture, starting with a pavilion for concerts and dancing. The plunge was built in 1909, the second pavilion shown here in 1907. The publisher's number 2803 precedes the title. The publisher did business from 1907 to 1919.
