Balloon Route excursionists stopping at Playa Del Rey for lunch

Two streetcars (trolleys, light rail cars) full of tourists have lined up for a photograph while on a "Balloon Route" trip. The building behind them and their "excursion cars" is the Playa Del Rey auditorium. The Balloon Route would at this time, before the 1911 merger with Pacific Electric, have been operated by the Los Angeles Pacific Company. The publishers number is on the back of this German-made card. Although the back is divided, only a return address is allowed in the left panel.
