A driveway goes up a hill toward the back of a mansion on the left, with two other mansions on the right. The one on the left is that of Thaddeus Lowe; Busch's residence is on the right behind trees. In the foreground are trees on the right and shrubs on the left in the garden constructed by Adolphus Busch and landscape artist Robert Gorden Fraser on the east bank of the Arroyo Seco. The publisher's number 1598 is in the lower left corner. The back is divided.
