A three-story building with three wings and a portico and tower stands on a corner of Colorado Street with sidewalks and trees. At the right top a pepper tree overhangs the street, across from the hotel. The hotel opened in 1903. After a fire in 1914, the "new" Maryland re-opened on Thanksgiving Day. On the left near the lower corner of the picture is the number 1582. The card has a divided back and was made in Germany, narrowing the range of its publication from 1907 to around 1915.
