This building was opened in 1906 as the Temple Auditorium, funded by the Temple Baptist Church and local businssmen, on the site of the 1887 Hazard's Pavilion. At Olive and Fifth Streets, it became known as the Los Angeles Philharmonic Auditorium in the early 1920s. In around 1910 it was advertised as the largest concrete building in the world. Although unacknowledged, the Teich organization's number is at the top of the dividing line on the divided back: R-33384. The publisher's number below its logo on the back is L. A. 52.
