This postcard has been trimmed and pasted onto heavy cardboard, making the back inaccessible. The publisher's number on the front is 2541, but the publisher is unknown. In the black and white picture, a steamship is coming into port at Avalon. South of the steamship pier, small boats are at anchor. A portion of the town of Avalon can be seen at the left, and Sugar Loaf Point and rock are on the far right at the west end of the Bay. In the foreground is Holly Hill House.
