The La Placita Church was first founded in 1814, dedicated in 1822, but this building dates from 1861. It is also known as La Iglesia de Nuestra Señora Reina de los Angeles. The third historic-cultural monument listed by the City of Los Angeles, it is also a California Historical Landmark. The publisher's number on the divided back is A 128. The slogan on the back "On the Road of a Thousand Wonders" indicates that this may have been part of a promotion of The Coast Line-Shasta Route of the Southern Pacific Railroad.
