Beside the "Chutes Theater" at left center, a steep ramp as tall as the twin cupolas on the building raises people and boats to the top on the right and on the left allows boats to slide down and splash into a pond, as one is doing in the picture. A crowd of people are mainly under pergolas on the right. In the foreground on the right the labeled "Electric fountain" is quiet. This was part of Chutes Park, a 35-acre amusement park bounded by Grand Avenue, Main Street, Washington Boulevard, and 21st Street, renamed Luna Park when sold in 1910, closed in 1914.
