Hamburger's, largest department store in the West, Los Angeles, California
This card shows four interior views of the store, claimed on the divided back to be the "Largest Department Store in the world with unobstructed floor space." On the left top is the "soda and candy" department, on the right the "Cigar Department." On the bottom left is the "Drug Department," and on the right the "Book Department." The Hamburger Building was constructed in 1908 at 8th and Broadway, one block south of Bullock's, becoming the May Company in 1923. The publisher's number in the lower left corner is 1353.
